And Now....Let's Go to A Check of Our Weather...

Know what I want to be when I grow up (I mean really grow up)?  I want to be a weather forecaster.  Think about it.  What other job in the world allows you to speculate, be totally off, and still collect both respect and pay?  I have to look into this....big time.

Why do I start off this way today?  Well, it's supposed to be raining right now, but instead, thick clumps of snow are accumulating all around on lawns, roads, and cars.  I just went outside and where I just did some shoveling a few minutes ago is completely filled in again.  Snow...sigh.

Anyhow, let's get that to brass tacks.  With the weather being dismal, it might be somewhat hard to get your dog the normal exercise it generally does.  That being said, I dug up THIS ARTICLE which will give you some tips and suggest some movies you can watch with your dog.  That's right, I wrote movies.

Another suggestion for today could be for you to dust off your calendar and make a point to write in the date of February 23rd, the time of 8pm, and the location being Gotham Comedy Club on 23rd st. in NYC.

There will be some awesome comics there, great drinks/food, and proceeds of tickets go directly to helping dogs in need.  There will also be some sweet raffles for you guys to take part in.  You gotta be in it to win it!

Damn it, Santa, not a blizzard!

Morning to all.  Hope everyone enjoyed the holidays (and hope you still are if they're still going on for you).

For me, the last two days have consisted of hardcore family get-togethers and eating an abundance of food.  Way too much food.  Italians don't play.

If you are ever invited to an italian family's house for dinner, pace yourself.  Never, ever, clean your plate quickly or you will be subject to berating and peer pressure to have more.  Even though I'm italian, I do often overlook this rule and still for whatever reason think I'll get out unscathed.  The very definition of insanity.  Too much food.

Anyhow, if you've been listening to the weather reports in the NYC area, you'll know that we are theoretically due to get bombarded with a snow storm.  Generally, I take weather people's predictions with a grain of salt, but they are barking very hard about this one.

So, with the impending weather, I found a safe guard list to protect your pets from the nasty weather.  You can check out the article HERE.

Stay warm and stay safe.

Movies That Have Gone to the Dogs....

Good morning and once again, Happy Hump Day, everyone.

Hope everyone is having a great week and doing their best to stay warm, despite the arctic-like conditions that have been thrust our way by Mother Nature.

With the weather being as it is, and in an effort to relax, today's blog is going to concentrate on an awesome cold weather alternative, watching a movie.

Now, we all know that we're all about dogs over here, so, that being said, I've done some research online and found a listing of the top 10 dog related flicks, ever.

The list, CLICK HERE to VIEW, is made up of some great classics and some other films you might have a "bone to pick" with (yes, I went there).

Check it out and see if you agree with it or not.  Maybe you can get find some good ideas to put on your queue and you can make it a Netflix night with someone special..or just there by yourself...whatever.

Hot dogs? Not today...

The weather outside is frightful.  Really, it is.  I know from the last two days I'm starting to sound like some sort of demented, blog writing weather person off their meds, but there is a method to my madness.

If we as people are cold, most likely your pup is, too.  I know I might've touched on some cold prevention tips in a prior blog, but this article: CLICK TO VIEW , will give some further insights on how to protect your dogs from the very snippy, Jack Frost.

Anyhow, keep warm, be well, and don't forget to drink your cocoa.
