LA-based former Disney animator, Jim George, is looking for inspiration for dog cartoons about the dog days of summer in the Big Apple.

Submit a photo and a funny story, and your dog might inspire a cartoon seen round the world. There's no cost, no gimmicks, just a whole lot of fun.

Even in this story, which is a great article about pit bulls that saved a chihuahua from being killed by coyotes, they manage to get in an anti-pittie crack.

From the chihuahua's owner, talking about the pit bulls:

"They were circling him and sitting by him. Making sure he was all right," said Robinette. "So it needs to be said that there’s some good (in pit bulls) and not all bad."

I Swear, My Wife Isn't Beating Me!

I walk my pittie Kilo every night in Riverside Park. I'm a bit of a pushover during these walks as instead of leading him, I allow him to lead me, as I hope it'll make him do his business faster so we can get home faster.

The problem is, it's pretty dark. Two nights ago, I wasn't quite looking where he was leading me and I walked into a tree. I came home with my scalp bleeding.

As if that wasn't dumb enough, last night, it happened again! Only this time, I was crouching under a low branch. I didn't get down far enough and it scraped against my back, again, leaving me bloodied.

I had a physical today, and had to explain my marks to my doctor. I wonder if he believed me.

"So you're telling me you walked into trees two nights in a row?"

I Knew There Was Something About that Toto

Did you know that according to temperament testing, Pit Bulls (which I, and most, include American Pit Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Staffordshire Bull Terriers) score higher than most dogs, including Labs and collies.

So, if you're scared of Pit Bulls, you should be terrified of Lassie!
